Milton Keynes is a young city populated by young people. Almost half of the population (46%) is under the age of 30, compared with just 40% nationally.
These people are not just younger; they’re also more qualified, with half the workforce classified as managerial, professional or skilled. Just under a quarter are employed in administrative or skilled trade positions, and one in seven in personal service, sales or customer service positions. One in five is employed in an operative or elementary position.
