The Pinnacle will be the first office building in MILTON KEYNES to be awarded a BREEAM rating of "Excellent".

Recognised as the world’s most widely used environmental assessment method for buildings, BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) scores buildings against set criteria to return an overall rating. The Pinnacle scores highly in many areas, from its energy efficiency to its provision of secure cycle bays and changing facilities supporting Milton Keynes sustainability policy requirements.

The Pinnacle sets new standards of sustainability in its design and will be served by the Milton Keynes Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Network. This network delivers an extremely energy efficient power from a local gas turbine generating station. The surplus heat from the generating process is used to supply hot water, heating and cooling to the building.

The Pinnacle optimises its use of power to minimise its carbon footprint. Thermally-efficient glazing, energy-efficient lighting and air conditioning, are amongst the environmentally-friendly materials and systems used in the building's construction.
